Electric Quilt Software (EQ8):  Beyond the Basics
Explore the treasure trove of EQ block, fabric, layout, embroidery and photo libraries. Make your own fabric libraries from your scanned or downloaded fabrics.  Create modern, free-form settings as well as intricate traditional designs. Try multiple border options. Practice drawing curved and straight lines while making blocks and appliqué shapes. Design quilts that will turn heads and open new pathways for your quiltmaking creativity. A working knowledge of EQ software basics is needed for this class. Perfect follow-up for EQ8 Quick Start graduates!  
Photo-Inspired Quilts:  Using EQ8 to Create Digital Art 
Imagine planning quilts that incorporate photographs or scanned images right on your computer. In this class, we focus on EQ8’s new, powerful graphics and photo editing tools. Use your photo as is or transform it in numerous ways to become a part of your fiber art.  This class will help you see your photo images as the inspiration for the colors and setting of your quilts and fiber art. A working knowledge of EQ software basics is needed for this class.

Photoshop Elements for Fabric Artists
Explore the features of Photoshop Elements that quilters find most useful and most fun! Learn to organize and enhance your photographs and create works of art (even your own fabric yardage!) that you can include in your quilts. Make repeatable designs from your drawings, “paint” your own pictures, and learn how to send your art to internet fabric printing services such as Spoonflower.  We will crop, re-size, sharpen, and edit photographs in preparation for printing on fabric. Then we’ll move on to using layers, selection and color tools, and special effects
